Tudor style homes, also known as Tudor Revival homes, are a popular home style that originated in England during the Tudor Dynasty (1485-1558). These homes are characterized by an ornate facade, steeply pitched roof, and half-timbering, which is a type of exposed stucco applied to the outside walls of a structure. The half-timbering gives the home a very distinct look and is one of the most recognizable features of this style of home. Tudor style homes are generally larger than other traditional home styles and can be two or three stories tall.
